Ian Biederman is an absolute hero, whether you are looking to get your licence for the first time, want a refresher day or some 1 on 1 private advanced training then he’s your man. For you non BMW riders don’t let the name put you off, he isn’t bothered what bike you ride, his sole goal is to make you a better and safer rider.
Many of our guides go for a refresher with Ian and the team each year and while IAM and ROSPA are brilliant ways of honing your skills, to take it to the next level nothing beats the input of a true professional. Best of all Magellan clients get a special discount on training in their Magellan + rider reward area.
Simon and Linley Pavey run the BMW Off Road Skills school in Wales and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s both terrific fun and also a great way of learning skills that can be transferred onto road riding. Don’t let lack of experience put you off, they guide you from Zero to Hero over 2 days of wet and muddy fun and you’ll be amazed once you finish just what you can do on the big R1250GS behemoths.
Again while this is a BMW course it doesn’t matter what bike you ride day to day, you’ll get a huge amount out of this safe in the knowledge that you are riding someone else’s big bike and it doesn’t matter how hard you drop it! We’ve done most of the competing courses over the years and none hold a candle to these guys. That’s why we go back every season for more!
With a crossing time of only 35 minutes from Folkestone to Calais, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle offers the fastest Channel crossing with your motorcycle. Its reliable service operates round the clock, 365 days a year, taking the hassle out of travelling to the Continent. Choose from up to 4 departures an hour during peak periods – no other cross-Channel operator offers you more choice.
With its own motorway junction (11a M20), access to the Passenger Terminal couldn’t be simpler. Prior to boarding the shuttles, you will pass through both UK and French frontier controls which means on arrival in France, you simply drive off the shuttle and onto the European motorway network.
The Eurotunnel experience is simple and hassle free – no wonder they are the preferred choice for over 1 million motorists each year.
