We will provide you with a full tour pack including suggested packing lists before you trip as well as information on documentation to prepare and insurance requirements.
This is a slightly tricky one as each day and each trip varies but we have designed every tour to have an easily manageable daily milage. We usually ride for around 5 hours on a full day but with plenty of rest stops (this of course depends on road conditions and weather). We purposely don't try and pack in too much on each day as we believe that the tours aren't just about riding endlessly but appreciating the sights and areas you are riding through.
Our paved Fly Ride tours are suitable for riders of all ability levels. Our Off-Road and Mixed Terrain tours are more challenging but have designed to be accessible for riders of varying abilities. If you are concerned or haven't done much off road riding we are always happy to arrange acclimatisation & training sessions before the trip, just let us know and we can coordinate an early arrival to accommodate this.
Each trip is led with the assistance of in-country partners and local english speaking guides that have lived in the areas you travel through and have an intimate knowledge, understanding and respect for their country.
Again each tour is different but all tours include most meals and accommodation. You will be responsible for Alcoholic beverages, extra drinks and incidental expenses.
Each tour is different but full details of the motorcycle on offer can be found on each tour page. All tours include motorcycle insurance of varying levels and some in-country providers also offer insurance upgrades on request.
All customers must have appropriate travel, medical and life insurance that cover motorcycle riding and repatriation from the country you are visiting. You should also be in possession of a full motorcycle licence and international permit as well as relevant visas before travelling.
No, Magellan does not provide flights for any of their tours but we highly recommend skyscanner.com as a resource for cheap flights across the world. Please do not book any flights until your tour has been confirmed and ensure that you have full travel insurance, including cancellation cover, in place before doing so.
We have a separate section covering this in our pre-trip area but all riders must have valid travel insurance to cover cancellation for themselves and their pillions, as well as medical insurance to cover repatriation and any treatments that may be required in country. Please check specifically when securing these that they cover motorcycling. We highly recommend travel insurance through the post office as it was, at the time of writing, one of the few that has cancellation cover as well as covering you riding a big bike.
Fill in the booking form on the website and we will contact you with details of how to make your deposit payment to our in country partner. Once we have these at the office we will send out further documentation and information on packing lists and visas as well as a booking confirmation email detailing the balance remaining and its due date.
