You would be surprised at how few breakdowns occur on modern motorcycles and although we insist that all riders have European breakdown cover for their motorcycles as you are riding with a group there are always other people on hand to help out and our tour guide can give any assistance required. We don't leave people behind on the side of the road, fear not!
All riders will need their driving licences (both parts), their bike's MOT and V5 documents, valid tax disc, vehicle, personal and travel insurance documentation, European breakdown cover documents, passport for ferry and tunnel crossings, and EHIC card (European Health Insurance Card, available free at the post office).
Just let us know in plenty of time and we will make sure all the hotels along the route are made aware.
Check each tour for specifics but as a rule of thumb all breakfasts are included as are around half of the evening meals. We do this to allow you to explore and choose where you eat on some of the evenings, we have always found people prefer a bit of choice along the way and recognise that not everyone wants a three course meal every night. Lunches are not included and neither are drinks.
We don’t stay in cheap or budget accommodation. We only choose the best hotels for our tours; having personally researched each and every one along our routes we choose family run boutique hotels where possible whilst many others have a range of facilities including swimming pools etc... While quality, comfort and friendliness is at the top of our agenda when picking accommodation we also always try and choose places with amenities nearby such as restaurants, bars and ATMs where possible.
We always try and book hotels with secure parking on all our tours but would definitely encourage all customers to bring along a heavy duty lock just in case.
The simple answer is probably less than you think! We provide suggested packing lists with all our tour packs and there is also a comprehensive guide under the pre trip section at the top of the page.
Half the evenings we stay together as a large group and enjoy dinner as provided as part of your trip cost while the other half the group often splits into a few smaller ones for some drinks and dinner “off-piste”. Our evenings together are often commented on as being one of the real highlights of our tours, where people bond and share stories of the day’s rides and long lasting friendships are struck up. We also make sure there is plenty of down time to explore the towns and cities that we visit.
Yes of course, we can arrange different return dates for your ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to allow you to explore more of the continent or country we are visiting. Alternatively we can arrange an earlier setoff date so you can join us outside the UK if you so wish.
We don't offer and specific instalment scheme but are always happy to accommodate customers’ requests where we can. Please get in touch and we will see if we can sort something that works for you. All we ask is that the deposit money is paid upon booking and the balance of the tour is paid 10 weeks before the commencement of your trip. We also strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance that covers you in the event that you are unable to come on your booked tour for any reason.
