If you were going to go to one bike show In the UK in 2014 then Motorcycle Live at the NEC in Birmingham should have been it, one of the busiest in recent year for new bike launches it was a blast. 25 manufacturers were in attendance and there was some great deals to be had on gear as always (we picked up some airbag jackets which will be reviewed in a later post so keep you eyes peeled).
Over at BMW as well as all the usual latest generation sportsbikes and adventure models they had some lovely custom machinery on show including this one from the renown builders at Kevils speedshop.
Across the stand was also the UK debut of the much anticipated S1000XR a very nice looking bit of kit.
Just a stones throw away was the Suzuki stand where we went to check out the new offerings in the V Strom range to window shop for next years touring bikes, in the corner tucked away was the very bike used in the recent Bike magazine ride to Japan feature. Much tougher than people think these bikes.
And then just around the corner in the main hall was aerial’s fantastic new art piece. Hopefully we’ll see some owners on on the road on these and using them in anger!
as well as its famous licence ending road go kart.
