Find out more about Magellan guides

Germany contains some of the finest riding roads and scenery in Europe, a real cultural melting pot brimming over with medieval cobbled streets, timber framed buildings, magnificent castles and linked by beautiful, empty sweeping tarmac roads.

We visit the two Dambuster Dams, Colditz Castle and ride down the Rhine. Our tour doesn’t stop there though, we also take you on down to the famous B500, ride through the Black Forest and experience the twisting roads and jaw dropping scenery of the Voges Mountains in Eastern France. What more could you ask for in a week?

Motorcycle Tour of Germany Highlights

  • Medieval Towns and Castles of Germany’s heartland
  • Two “Dambuster” dams of Eder Dam and Mohne Dam
  • Nurburgring and Colditz Castle Rideouts
  • The B500 in the German Black Forest, a fast wide road across the forest ridge that constantly appears in top 10 biking roads in the world.
  • Deep forests and the twisty roads of the Vosges Mountains.

Day 5 / 100 miles Ride towards Boppard, stopping off at the Eder Dam, immortalised by the “Dambusters” operation of May 16th 1943 and finishing at our next base by the river with a visit to the medieval castles of Burg Eltz and Castle Marksburg or for the more adventurous a quick peek at the Nürburgring .

Harz Mountains Tour. Great trip, great roads, great company, great organisation….

My second tour this year with MMT. Throughly enjoyable and a great mix of characters, bikes and roads on both tours.

Well planned routes with a variety of road types. Great to have all the routes sent before the trip and downloaded onto the sat nav.
