self guided Southern Germany and Austrian Tyrol tour 9 11 days 2017-09-02T17:24:51+00:00

     9 – 11 DAYS FROM £1049

Austria and southern Germany have all the ingredients needed for an epic tour, the roads, the scenery and the people all blend together to make them perfect places in which to explore and enjoy all that riding in the region has to offer.

On this trip you will ride across northern France visiting war memorials and basking in the quiet traffic free roads before crossing into Germany and tackling the famous B500 in the Black forest.  You then cruise across southern Germany and head into Austria for some of the best mountain roads to be found anywhere. You’ll be surrounded by glaciers, alpine lakes and picture perfect twisties.

You have two nights staying in the heart of Austria with rideouts organised to the Grossglockner high alpine road, the Malta Hochalmstrasse, Nockalmstrasse and more. Your hosts in Austria are keen bikers and will be happy to help with any planning for your rideout adventures as well as providing fantastic meals at the end of each day.

On the return leg why not visit Hitler’s summer mountain retreat at Berchtesgaden before having a play in the Vosges mountains. You’ll then come down out of the mountains for your last overnight stop in the cathedral city of Reims.

On a Magellan Self Guided tour we take care of everything, your hotels, routes and crossings are all sorted by us and we are totally flexible on dates, departure points and trip lengths. So why not get in touch today to start your adventure.

The magical Alpine region of South Tyrol is a perfect marriage of romance and design. A small, hilly place about twice the size of Kent, South Tyrol is an idyllic enclave of medieval castles, steepled churches, apple orchards and vineyards.
