CUBA MOTORCYCLE DIARIES – 10 DAY HARLEY TOUR FEBRUARY 2023
Guide Andy Tofts gives us a day-by-day rundown of this fantastic trip!
Day 1
Collected our Harleys today and took them for a shakedown ride around some of the best sights of new and old Havana ![]()
Day 2
Our first full riding day today. Fancied trying a Road Glide, so swapped bikes for the day. Amazing scenery, great meal and fantastic riding. It’s been epic! Overnight in an authentic rural ranch.
Day 3
Riding out from Havana we visit a tobacco plantation, followed by a ride into the stunning Viñales Valley. Into the mountains tomorrow; Can’t wait to get those Harleys on the hairpins!
Day 4
Leaving Pinar del Rio this morning we headed into the Sierra del Rosario mountains and some of the most fantastic scenery and roads! We had a birthday on tour and celebrated with a cake and seeing our local guide, Luis, playing with his band.
Day 5
Leaving Havana again we ride to Cienfuegos for a fabulous lunch at a stunning bayside restaurant. From there we continue to Trinidad for the first of two nights in this beautiful colonial city. Along the way we refuel, Cuban style!
Day 6
A free day today to explore in and around Trinidad and immerse ourselves in the fabulous culture that includes the wonderful and colourful music ![]()

Day 7
Leaving Trinidad for a long day on the bikes we cross the island from south to north, calling in and receiving VIP treatment at the moving Che Guevara Mausoleum in Santa Clara. A quick stop for lunch along the way before arriving at our luxury all-inclusive beach hotel in Varadero!
Day 8
With so much to do in Varadero, a mixture of activities today. Some went out for a ride while others chilled at the fabulous beach. The evening’s entertainment included a great rock ‘n roll band flanked by Harleys.
Day 9
Left Varadero and returned to Havana via the glorious Bacunayagua bridge, the highest in Cuba. A fabulous farewell dinner was had by all; with thanks to Ernesto Guevara and the local team who were insightful and informative. A truly wonderful tour that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Day 10
A drive around Havana in one of the many classics American cars, a fabulous experience
