Magellan have partnered with Global Rescue as a Safe Travel Partner to offer their medical advisory, travel and evacuation services, to all of our riders no matter the destination. Traditional insurance is crucial to cover medical bills but won’t rescue you from the point of injury to a first class hospital, advocate at the bedside for you or repatriate you home from anywhere in the world. That’s where the Global Rescue travel protection membership comes in.

Global Rescue are the support team of choice for the world’s best prepared organizations and government agencies including NASA and National Geographic.

They are not an insurance policy but a membership organisation that supplements your travel insurance to deliver a world-class emergency service. Their team of medical and security experts — staffed by doctors, paramedics, consultants, special forces veterans and Air Force rescue specialists – are just a call away to provide 24/7 medical and travel advisory services, field evacuations and security extractions when needed most.

 

Our approved Travel Partner status with Global Rescue ensures that all our riders can have 24/7 telephone access to medical advice whilst away and that if the worst does happen, medical and evacuation services can get them to safety and the best medical provision available, as quickly as possible.

We offer the option of Global Rescue Membership to all our riders, with a host of benefits:

They will rescue you from the point of illness or injury, even if you’re far from civilization. Their personnel and partners deploy emergency services and search and rescue if needed to bring you to the closest medical centre of excellence no matter your location. Their team will also send in country assets to your bedside as advocates if needed to ensure you get the best care possible anywhere in the world.

Should you be injured on your tour and need hospitalisation their medical teams have the ability to transport our riders back to their home hospital of choice from anywhere in the world via private chartered medical flights. This includes global COVID-19 transport.

Visa and passport services, translation services in 190 languages, legal service locations in 160 countries and Hospital referrals to more than 200 international Centers of Excellence and over 5,000 clinics and care facilities world-wide are all included.

You will be given access to live intelligence on every country you travel through with critical information on medical, security and other important events that may impact upon your travel with us.

Through their mobile app all riders can be located in an emergency using their GRID system.
