My name’s Charmaine, but you’ll hear me called Char, or Moosh, depending on who you ask and how long they’ve known me.
I was born and raised in Leicestershire and relocated to Derbyshire in 2017, but I grew up around motorsport from a very young age. My grandma ran a catering business at Mallory Park, which meant I spent most weekends at the circuit growing up. Race cars, engines, and the buzz of motorsport were just part of normal life, and that early exposure shaped both my love of the industry and my comfort in fast-moving, detail-driven environments.
Before joining Magellan, I worked in the supercar experience industry, where organisation, timing, and customer care had to be spot on. Alongside that, travel has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Australia, South Africa, the Caribbean, and many parts of Europe, with Portugal and Tenerife firmly established as my happy places. I love the mix of exploration and relaxation, whether that’s beaches, mountains, or ideally a bit of both.
What I love most about being part of Magellan Motorcycle Tours is helping create experiences riders will remember for the rest of their lives. I enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life and making sure every journey feels welcoming, exciting, and effortless from beginning to end. Whether it’s offering reassurance when needed, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the group, or quietly keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, I take real pride in helping riders simply enjoy the adventure.
My favourite tour is Scotland, especially the NC500, the full loop of the Highlands, and the Isle of Skye. The scenery, the roads, and the sense of space make it something really special. That said, I’m also very drawn to some of our further-afield adventures, which tap into my own love of long-haul travel and new destinations.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out walking with my dog Vee, keeping up with F1 and BTCC, enjoying good food and drinks (especially curry, Guinness and Prosecco), spending time with family and friends, and embracing life as a Sunday league football wife.
Magellan is a genuinely caring team, and that really matters to me. Making sure every rider feels looked after, supported, and excited about their trip is what I take the most pride in, and I love being part of a company that creates experiences people remember for the rest of their lives.
