Cheshire-based and new to Magellan, I toured Morocco in October 2025—and it was a truly fabulous experience: great routes, great clients, plenty of challenges, and we all survived with smiles on our faces.
I’m a Triumph rider, with a Tiger GT Explorer for touring and a Scrambler XE for more local rides.
I’m a retired Chartered Accountant, with a career (after qualifying) across several private equity–backed businesses in tech, financial services, insurance, and waste—so definitely a master of none, but it’s been great fun and wonderfully varied.
I came back to biking in middle age after the classic route: teenage years, passed my test, then decided it would be safer to “mature” with a car. Thankfully, I survived long enough to return!
Once I was back, I quickly caught the bug for touring—and for advanced riding skills (and safety). I’m an advanced tutor for RoSPA and a National Observer for the IAM.
I tour regularly two to three times a year across the UK and Europe, often organising trips for friends, as well as teaching and volunteering for the Blood Bikes—typically covering 15,000–20,000 miles a year.
When I’m not biking (or teaching), I disappear from mid-December to March and ski in the French Alps as a seasonnaire in Les Arcs / the Paradiski area—skiing daily with friends from home or in the resort. The focus is safety, a challenge, and a good laugh.
Otherwise, I also squeeze in a few beach holidays each year… so perhaps I’m on holiday all the time!
I’m delighted to be part of the Magellan team and look forward to meeting new people and helping make dreams come true—no problems, just opportunities, all with a smile.
