An arrival day marks the start of your trip, where you'll meet your guide and group, and enjoy an included welcome meal. The next day you'll meet your rental bike for the week, and maybe take a half-day acclimatisation ride on the traffic free mountain roads to the Parc El Torcal with its amazing limestone rock formations. This area is a real biking Nirvana after the traffic clogged, cold and wet roads of home!
Explore the Malaga Natural park which is right on your doorstep with its empty mountain roads, turquoise lakes and reservoirs, forests and even a unique ‘figure-of-eight’ section involving a pair of curved tunnels for the crossover sections. Ride around the many beautiful lakes in the mountains behind Malaga, some natural and some formed by man. Many of these lakes have unusual turquoise water due to the minerals present in surrounding rocks.
I can't think of a better way of spending a winter week than cruising around the endless curves of southern Spain, why not come along and see what all the fuss is about?

Take a full day out on terrific mountain roads recommended by Spanish bikers to the amazing Roman city of Ronda, which claims to be the birthplace of bullfighting in Spain. Founded by Julius Caesar 2000 years ago, this spectacular city is built on a rocky outcrop above a deep ravine and was heavily fortified by the Moors during the Islamic occupation of Andalucía from the 8th century AD. Hanging gardens, city walls, Moorish fortifications and a Roman amphitheatre near-by make for a fascinating visit.
Visit Gibraltar for the day to explore the famous rock and meet the Barbary apes. Explore the old town, the extensive network of tunnels dating from the great siege in the 1780s. Then visits St Michael's cave below the rock, a cave system so extensive it was once believed to lead across the straits to Africa. Gibraltar can easily be reached on a mixture of twisty mountain roads and a short motorway blast in 3 hrs or you can do the whole run on the motorway in less than 2 hours if you want to get back and enjoy a glass of wine in the sun!
Visit the beautiful city of Granada for the day and explore the fabulous world-famous Alhambra fortified Moorish palace. Granada is 3 hrs away from base on some beautiful winding mountain roads and through two National Parks, or you can shorten the ride to 2 hrs on a mixture of mountain roads and motorways. Either way, the rideout is not to be missed! The city has so much to see and so much culture to offer.
