Fly into Medellín and ride a full loop through Colombia’s most varied landscapes, from Andean mountain roads to the Caribbean coast, colonial towns, and the coffee region.
This route was built to show you the full range of Colombia on two wheels. We start and finish in Medellín, riding a full loop that links together Andean mountain roads, the Caribbean coast, colonial towns frozen in time, coffee country scenery and vast river valleys. It’s mostly tarmac, with mixed surfaces and a few short gravel sections, the kind of roads that take you beyond the obvious and into the places that make this ride feel properly Colombian.
We start in Medellín, the City of Eternal Spring, with time to settle in and meet the group. Before we even turn a wheel, we get a proper introduction to the place with a guided day in the city, including Comuna 13 and its street art and transformation story. It’s a great way to arrive in Colombia, get your bearings, and feel the energy of the country before the loop begins.
When we ride out for the first time, the contrast hits straight away as we head north towards the Caribbean. The landscape changes quickly, dropping from green valleys into tropical lowlands as the air warms and the scenery opens up. The day finishes on the coast in Arboletes, with palm trees and black volcanic sands, and an evening that feels a world away from where we started.
